Post a Picture of Your K16

:thumb :thumb

That view pretty much takes the cake! Two thumbs up for Mikey!

Hope your’s was a terrific M/C outing on your newest Beemer.

We camped in a small campground next to the Great Basin Nat’l Park in Baker NV whilst riding the Iron Butt’s National Parks Tour. It had been many years since we’d viewed the Milky Way as such (what with so much light pollution any more).

Ciao!

Happy Travels, HeliPilot, on your new-2-U K16!

The crowd cooperated and U didn’t even have to get off the bike! :thumb

Hope you’ll make the 200 mile commute up to Doswell, VA in June.
Not nearly as distant as Key West! :brow

Keep the shiny side up; we’ll do the same.
Sláinte! HSV-Phil & HSV-Karen 😎 🍷 🤠 🥃

New K1600B

Just traded in the Harley for a K1600B. Can't wait to spend some time on it!!! It looks good sitting in the shop next to my GSA1200!!IMG_2281.jpg

Upperville is like in the Middle of Nowhere, Paul. See if you can find a winery or Brewing establishment nearby.

That said, your K bike should be able to find Redmond if y'alll's heart is set to do that.

We'll be there - 👍 Once upon a time, we resided in Ft Washington, MD - we're aware of how to get from here to there.

This is us in the driveway a few years ago.... Things have since evolved a bit.
Enjoy your biggly Beast. Ciao, P&K

What a collection! And love that 90S! :p

Loudoun County has exploded with homes and data centers. Not the same sleepy county we moved to 30 years ago for sure! But rest assured, there are also a plethora of breweries and wineries!

I coached youth hockey and remember the rink in Ft Washington. In fact, my daughter did a fund raiser with the Caps to help save the rink. Good memories.

We'll look for ya in Redmond!

Hallo Todd!

Just wonderin what your plan for the K16's service is? We celebrated Valentine's Day at our scheduled service appt at Pandorra's on Wed, but we're now ready for future 2nd Saturday Rides-2-Eat & our ride to Redmond, OR in June.
Next up is
Beans and Greens in Ballplay, AL; in April we're riding to Cornersville, TN for the highly recommended Burgers at the Old Delina Country Store. >> https://www.facebook.com/olddelinacountrystore/ <<

Enjoy your newest BMW M/C safely - that there's a lot of exuberant ponies underneath your butt!

Ciao! HSV-Phil & HSV-Karen

Please use this thread to post your picture of your K16

Remember if there is no picture it didn't happen!!
Saw this post and figured why not post a picture and some info start off the New Year. My Forum name is 18GrandAm, but I traded my Grand America in for a new GTL just before Christmas 2023. Rode it home, and had to put it up for winter storage due to snow the next day. Obviously riding my new GTL was on my mind all winter, then I got some really bad news........the following March 2024, I was diagnosed with bone cancer. After initial multiple radiation treatments, I spent the year receiving weekly chemo treatments, which is still ongoing. However, a couple of weeks ago I was told that my most recent tests indicated that I'm now cancer free. Hopefully by early Spring, my Chemo treatments will be all done, and I'll be in remission and able to focus on riding more this year.
Once the pain level was under control, I did manage to do several day rides last year with my riding buddies, but wasn't able to do any overnight or back to back day rides. I'm looking forward to being able to do longer rides and multi-day rides this year!

Just thought I'd share as I feel I've dodged a bullet and I'm really happy with my medical progress. BTW, I really love my GTL. I bought it off the showroom floor in '23, but it was a left over '22 model. I got a great price break as most of the buyers were ordering '24 models from Germany. My '22 is the same as the '24 models as that was the year the K1600 was updated. Any updates since were mostly software related that I received free from BMW. The 2018 GA was my first BMW, and I really enjoyed that bike, but after riding Sport Tourers for over 30 years, there was just something I felt I was missing when riding that big Bagger. The GTL fills that missing Sport Touring emotion and feeling nicely. I'll be riding this Sport Tourer for quite a while, but if I ever get the urge to ride a bagger again, I wouldn't hesitate to climb aboard another Grand America.
