Distinguished Gentleman's for Ride 2025

...did you just Bauhaus me?....I'll see you and raise you a "Mies van der Rohe"
I used to live in an Eichler home. :ha

I have a couple Eames pieces and some knock offSaarinen stuff. I’m very much a modernist.

I’ll take a van der Rohe daybed if you have one. :deal

Snob. I had an Eichler orange door while living in an Atomic Ranch in Seattle. I do have an Eames chair that my cat throws up on the ottoman almost weekly.

Man, if that is a restored Eichler, in Sonoma CA., your square footage of your living room was probably the cost of my entire house in Seattle. Very tasteful.

That was our old house in Marin. We had it 25 years and spent the whole time restoring it to near perfection. And thanks. We put a lot into it and did really well when it was, alas, time to go. It was a small house, but never ever felt like it with an atrium in it.

We sweated stuff like door hardware, finishes, furniture and fixtures pretty thoroughly.

The new place isn’t boring, but it also isn’t an architectural icon of cheap and good design.

Looks great, and not cluttered. I'll see what we have on the Seattle home visuals. I remember we identified 3 George Kovacs vintage lights during our initial walk-through prior to buying. Owner offered take them down and throw them out. We said thanks, but we can do that...:)

We're getting close. Counting down to the 18th. for the GDR event.
So far Tampa has 123 riders and $19,861 in donations! The most in Florida.

Looking forward to it!

Los Angeles has 430 riders registered, and over $118k raised to date. It's going to be a mad house!

Healdsburg has 29 riders and we've raise like $2500. San Francisco, my typical ride, has raised like $30K on 171 riders.

Meanwhile, I'm in 3rd place for fundraising and $50 behind the second place guy and like $700 behind the leader. Dangit.

Oh, it's gonna be ROCKIN
There's a whole afternoon thing planned Friday, with rock concert by The Rockett Mafia (band created by Ricky Rockett from Poison...) I'm just joining in for the ride, though. Can't wait to see people's pictures of their outfits!

I'm supposed to be on a day long sales enablement training. I'm also retiring in 3 weeks, so I can't say I'll be super attentive. I think that's when it'll be time to put something dapper together.

Congratulations, Dave! Retirement is absolutely heavenly. I haven't missed work for one single second, and I hope you feel the same down the road. May you adjust as fast as I did. Cheers to you and Tina. :wave

Thanks, Rich. I’m pretty psyched.

We had 35. I took like 3 pictures. :ha

We still beat Eureka, though. We used to try to beat Ukiah, but they have more riders, so instead of picking on Mendocino County, we picked on Humboldt and beat them this year.

SF was a bigger ride, but the Sonoma County ride was way better, heading out through Dry Creek (look for it on your Sonoma red's label) to an overlook over Lake Sonoma, then to Acta Winery over by Geyserville (Or G Town around here).

Decent ride. Decent folks. I'm already stoked to go next year. Everybody loved the /2. No photos of my outfit, sadly. My wife had foot surgery two weeks ago so she's still in a boot.

Tampa DGR. We had 133 riders and raised $23,451. It was really hot and humid weather wise. I'll pull some stills from my videos and post. It felt rushed with only minutes on our stops to meet and visit. Not a great final stop bar/grill. Way too small for the group that descended on it. All and all, okay.
