Distinguished Gentleman's for Ride 2025

Same. You're riding along with a group of folks, probably on old or old looking motorcycles. The purpose is pretty different than my usual riding objectives. The DGR is totally about posing around town with your bike and some atypical riding gear. Instead of being an astronaut or pirate, you can be a nerd.

Sounds like BMW riders to me. :ha
...and not to mention, your route is police escorted throughout the city...wanna know how it feels to be a VIP touring the city and waving at the masses?

We didn’t have a police escort in SF, but we had Marshals that were riding ahead and blocking intersections to let the column through. On some of the hills, you do not want 200 old bikes simultaneously trying a hill start on a super duper steep hill.

Getting the /2 underway while 2 up from a stop on Divisadero was…interesting. :ha

The Healdsburg group should be a lot smaller. I think it starts at a winery. Soooo civilized, gentlefolk.

Yeah, I think we had both, but both helped us not stop at most intersections, which was cool.

Mine came with "DOT" stickers that fell off on touch. I suspect, which really meant the helmets were inspected by a woman named Dot.

What we looked like last year. It was fun, but never felt so unprotected...since being single...:)

Healdsburg has a couple dozen riders, way different than San Francisco’s usual couple hundred.

Gonna ride the /2 this time. I think it starts at a vineyard, which is awesome. Better get my wardrobe sorted out. IMG_3652.jpeg

Dave, that is a ridiculously, fabulously, stylishly ride! Pudding bowl helmet w/ goggles at the least

Currently in second place for fundraising, but I’m a few hundred bucks behind the leader. :ha

And I’m going to take the back seat off so it looks all rakish and bauhaus.
