85 K100 - bike won't start

That sounds like the FI relay is bad. You have 12V across the coil but it's not sending the 12V out the red/green to the injectors. However, I think you have conflicting results. In this test you have no voltage on green/red but several posts back you say you have fuel spray.

Thanks, Anton. I think what I had before at the pulled injectors was more seep than spray - similarly, when the noid tester showed a dim glow but no flash.

I would try externally putting +12V on the green/red wire and cranking the bike with the injector rail out. If you get a strong intermittent spray, reinstall the rail and see if it runs. Then at least you'll have a better idea where the problem is.

If you get a strong continuous spray, then don't reinstall.

Hi Anton - great, will try this.....maybe a dumb question, but when I put 12V thru the green/red wire, do I also ground this other battery on the bike?

Looking back, something about the horn t working is screaming at me: some vague recollection that something else is on the same fuse as the horn, but I can't dig it out of my memory. Anton? Anybody?

I don't remember how that relay and base are configured, but if you can just jumper the red to the green/red at the relay base, that would probably do the trick.

Well, I really don’t know how to explain it….but IT STARTED 🤩

Tbh, not sure why. Maybe it was cleaning all the connections & grounds? But interestingly, I suddenly got the horn to work. And then after that I got the noid to test positive at the injectors. So I’m a little worried there’s a short in the bike somewhere that’ll crop up again!

But almost exactly one year after coming off the trailer, it started.

Thanks for all your help guys, across so many threads, including this 3-pager. You’ve all been incredibly generous.

Check the ground connections on the bike. IIRC there is a ground point underneath the tank, near the front. But, it’s been a few years and I could be wrong…

Best,
DeVern
