A guy I know had a close encounter with a deer with Bumot bags.
The only damage was a little lose of hair for the deer and maybe dirty shorts for Bill.

True with those ugly adapter plates.. The Bumots use the stock rack. I don’t own either so I have no skin in the game but if I were to get soft bags that’s what I’d get. YMMV

Mosko Moto BMW adapter looks pretty slick IMHO and allows a neat built in locking mechanism. Once the adapter is installed they are a slick set up. And not for nothing but I like that Mosko is a US based company and super supportive of their riders. They support most every adv event with a pretty impressive warranty. Built by riders for riders. They are not cheap but they are quality.

This kit includes two retrofit frame adaptors, replacing the Mosko frame and wedge quick-release mounting system that comes standard with our Backcountry Pannier Kit, allowing installation on OEM Touratech-made BMW GS/GSA racks. This doesn't work with the OEM "Vario" cases.
