Aluminum Panniers

Hi Airheaders…

I have a ‘78 R100/7, of which I have sourced a single seat with rack replacing the passenger seat. The stock hard bags are a bit rough, and I would like to replace them with a set of aluminum panniers similar to what has been available for the GS series. Anyone know if something like that is available for )the R100/7..?

Thank you!

There are a couple of threads in the Similar Threads pane below that mentions aluminum panniers and Airheads. I didn't know such possibilities existed.

I have a pair of aluminum panniers built and designed by Kermit who engineered the well known Kermit chair. They fit the racks that came on my 1985 r80rt. I personally prefer them over the stock bags. They have more volume and are mounted in a manner that eliminates the use of straps used to retain bags on their mounts.
Kermit built I believe 3 sets of these bags. They are very well made and designed.
Long story short I'm sure some vendor can make it happen for you. Good luck on your search.
