So much for the 'Klim Gear Protection Guarantee'

Agreed, very good of the OP to give us the final resolution.

My next question for the person who got a warranty from Gore Tex can you explain a little about how you went about that? I have a Klim Adventure suit I would like to send down that road.

And for the poster who won't buy products made in Vietnam I just wanted to point out that when Mosko Moto decided to get into the riding clothing game they researched manufacturing quality of garments at locations all over the world and they finally decided to use an offshore facility as that's where the best factories were located. They also put a helluva lot of time into researching the fabrics they wanted to use and Gore Tex did not come out on top for breathable etc. Mosko has had a thread on ADVrider from the beginning of starting their company and they have always been very transparent about laying out how they imagine and build products. They often take ideas that people put up on that thread and incorporate them into products. I've been following since almost the beginning and it's been very interesting watching them grow. Their products are exceptional.
Not the PP, but I had a pair of Badlands pants that leaked at the crotch. I opened a ticket with Klim and sent them directly to Klim and they replaced them with a brand new current gen pair. I never dealt with Gore-Tex directly.

If I owned a company that made widgets, I'd ask my customer what they wanted and fine tune the product to their needs, sounds like a great business plan to me!

Debbie and I met the owner of Chicane motorcycle luggage a couple times and he told us he decided of Vietnam to make his stuff because they had a very good reputation for making luggage and garments.

I wish Chicane was still around. I had one of their tank bags and it was awesome until I wore it out.... Still have their foldable baseball cap...(y)

Totally off topic (which seems to have drifted anyway).....

Lee, was that picture of your two bikes taken in Utah? It looks very familiar to me - like I may have been on that road. And the other one looks like a small town I went through in Colorado.

Lastly, have you ever had a BMW that wasn't white? :)

Hwy 12 in Utah

I think the town picture was Jackson California.

My first BMW was grey
Next, 2 blue bike, 2 red bikes, 2 blue and white zebra, 2 red, 2 blue and white (what looks white is actually light grey metallic) and now 2 white.

Same with a pair of Latitude pants I have

Ok, back on topic. I talked to Gore Tex about warranty on my Klim Adventure suit. My dealer found my original sales receipt from March 2014. I was lucky and got it at cost price.

They asked for photos etc which I sent them showing the suit has very little wear anywhere and is in excellent condition. They got back to me and said they will not cover as they deem it past it's useful life. Thanks a lot.

What's wrong with this picture?

The armour is now all hard from age. I talked to Klim and they came back saying they will replace the knees and elbows but of course the armour is on backorder. I gave them a call to ask if they would also throw in new shoulder pads but haven't heard back yet. Not really a big deal if they don't.

I'll give Klim a +1 for backing up this part of the product. Now all I need is raingear to go over it.

I liked the look of the new MSR Adventure suit and the price is right but I'm leaning towards Aerostitch when I finally need a replacement.
