Does your bike have a name?

Name or no, do you consider it male, female, or neither (or, these days, possibly both, I guess).

Mine's is Scout (Tonto's pony - small, and likes to be out in front of the guys I ride with on their "road sofas") but I can't decide on a gender.

Ummm...well, no. Not an actual name per se, but I do refer to it as Der Bimmer. So while I haven't officially given it a name, bikes I've owned in the past have had pet names. Eg...Blue Thunder...Ugly Red, Lil' Red, etc. I guess the names I've chosen have been more descriptive in nature, now that I think of it.

My R1100RT, Das Boot.

I think that's German for submarine. I got it super cheap, less than $1000.00, almost nothing for miles, like 12K miles. It got caught in an Arizona flash flood and went, well, underwater.

It took me an entire winter to tear it down to the last nut and bolt and rebuild it and surprisingly, tons of aftermarket parts available and I put it on the road for about $2000.00 in parts and about $5000.00 in beer.

I have almost 80K miles on it and I still have the Arizona mud in the headlight. I leave it there to remind me where it came from.

I've never named any of my bikes, but my brother in law named one for me. The bike was an '04 R1150R, with silver paint. After declining (for perhaps the twentieth time) an invitation to go riding with his rather large group of biker buddies, he said, "You're just the Lone Ranger, riding old Silver".

I went right out and got a custom license plate holder... HI-HO...SILVER!
