Rear Protection (Crash) Bars for the R1200RT 2014 & Up

I have them on my bike, both front and rear sets.
Like them very much, very easy to install. I slipped on the highway 6 months ago and they protected the bike entirely. Only the front bars were scratched a little.
I would recommend them.

I have the rear (and front) Wunderlichs on my '14 RT.

While they do what they advertise, my pillion has complained of them rubbing her calf. Furthermore, when the panniers are off, they simply look absurd.

I'd love to see someone, an OEM or otherwise, offer a pair that were quick-disconnectable. Short of that, Ilium Works has a nice low, less obtrusive variant that would not come anywhere near interfering with any legs and all but disappear when finished in black.
