Newbie tire question

I've mounted Pirelli Scorpion Trail II tires on my 2011 F650GS. I've tried unsuccessfully to wade through what I can find online to determine the correct tire pressure. I contacted Pirelli and they said I should have stayed with the stock tires! Anyway, any recommendations/advise would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

The tire manufacturer will only know the max presssure. Unless you have changed significantly from the stock sizes (which would probably be a bad idea), you should rely on the bike manufacturer to tell you the pressure to run on the particular bike. So, use the pressures in the manual or a reference such as this...

If you have installed a size that is not recommended for the bike, then Pirelli was giving you good advice.
