New to me 2007 R1200RT in downstate NY

Howdy.

Been riding for 43 years, mainly Suzukis, just got an R1200RT. Of course, now that I have it, the weather's been less than cooperative :(.

I've put in LED headlights and turn signals while waiting for the weather.

The only thing left is to figure out how to mount the Fiamm electric horns I put on every bike I get. Hopefully I'll get that done this weekend.

Anyway, that's all for now.

Welcome Aboard the MOA Forum, farokh!
Here's hoping you'll get many happy BMW miles on your latest acquisition! Hope you got a great deal along with a Gr8 RT! 👍
Fiamm Horns are a sensible upgrade, especially anywhere along the eastern seaboard! Might also consider adding some Skene lighting which could add eXtra Conspicuity: https://skenelights.com

Mrs-K got blindsided by a lunatic cabby as we approached the Holland Tunnel. Glad she had a soft landing on the fender of a Cadillac Limo! 🙄
Hope you have some 'mates' to ride with in downstate NY. We're blessed to have a great many riding buddies in upstate AL.
Keep the shiny side up & wave as U go by...

Happy Trails whenever U can - Ciao!

Welcome, I’m also from downstate NY. Central Suffolk, LI. I was once close to buying an ‘06 RT, but wound up on an 02 1150RS. Good luck with your new machine.

Welcome farokh! Nice choice in beemers. A pic or two of the new to you bike is always appreciated.
Actually, it's been in pieces pretty much since I got it. I finally got it all back together after adding the CANSmart Gen 2, and a set of Fiamm horns. Here's the picture of it all together (at least for now :) - I'm waiting for brackets to mount lights next to the mirrors).
