Greetings! My name is Jay and I am new to this group. I live in southern Rhode Island and am also a member of the Ocean State BMW Riders club.

I currently ride a 1974 R90S that I have owned since the 90s. My kids are grown, and I just started to ride more last summer. I look forward to taking some longer trips around New England this summer.

Welcome fogleman2. Impressed that you have had your R90S so long. Post a picture when you get a chance.

Welcome Jay! Riding around New England in the summer sounds idyllic. Hope you can post a pic of your bike.

We know a bunch of the same folks. Say hi to Carl S for me if you see him.

Welcome aboard. Former Mass. resident here.

Hello Jay in "South RI" from "North AL!"
If you're a little rusty from another RI-winter, consider some kind of street or parking lot refresher training. The MOA Foundation will pay U a stipend depending on the cost of the training U select. >>> https://bmwmoaf.org/rider-training/paul-b-rebates/ <<< Having taken various courses, there's always something new that will make you a safer rider! 👍 We, Team-HSV, took a three day course up in MA & CT with Ken Condon and his daughter a few years ago. Worth every cent: <<< https://www.ridinginthezone.com >>> But U can ask your riding buddies in your local MOA chapter... I'm the "esteemed President" of the AlaBeemers, so my advice is worth every penny U proffered... Enjoy your rides across New England - we once rode past the Highest Point in RI on one of our National Park challenges. We bought our Beemers in order to travel [we're still perfecting the happy couple part of the vacation equation].

Happy Trails whenever U can - Ciao!
