Hello from New Glarus, Wisconsin

I'm a new member and relatively new rider, but have connected with the local MOA group and am happy to now be a member. Last fall I picked up an airhead (R100RS) and have spent the past few months sorting it and dialing everything in. It's running great now, riding as it should, and all cleaned up! Looking forward to riding as the weather warms up here!

Nice looking motorcycle.
Welcome from Minnesota.
See you around the Driftless sometime.

Welcome from MinneSNOWta! In fact, it's snowing right now!

I hear there is some pretty good beer being brewed in New Glarus:

Too bad they don't ship it to Minnesota, but it's not too far to ride to pick up a six-pack or two. ;)

Welcome to the MOA Forum, Mark!
Hope you will enjoy that very clean machine this new 2024 riding season. (y) Mrs-HSV just became the proud owner of an '88 R100RT; I'm currently in the process of putting fresh tires on it. She should be able to ride it on her first Ride-2-Eat on the 27th. She's the new AL Airmarshal. Her first organized function will have some of her members attending the National Cornbread Festival (some 75 miles north of us in South Pittsburg, TN). So you can become a certified Airhead too when the mood strikes with all the many Wisconsin Vintage BMW Bikers. :nod

In case you haven't heard, write down your mileage, and submit your form to the MOA Mileage Coordinator by May 1st. Start accumulating BMW Miles cause you just don't know how far your BMWs will take U! Mine have taken me over 400K since my first Beemer. You might even win some Michelin tires; Karen has won two sets over the years of BMW ownership....

And here's a safety suggestion, you might consider adding some Skene LEDs to your classic machine. I have them on my R90S and my K16 and they tend to catch the
inattentive drivers' eyes. U can never have enuf Conspicuity, and they don't use much of your precious BMW Voltage. They're also much quieter than LOUD pipes so they not as aggravating!

Happy Travels on your splendid RS this summer!

Ciao! HSV-Phil & HSV-Karen. :beer

I had put the snowblower away for the year last week and I think we have 7” on the ground this morning 🙄
