Another boot thread... For shorter riders

Needs a bigger garage
I've done some searching through other threads and have seen a ton of boot recommendations. Unfortunately, not too many address the needs of us short-legged owners!
I have a pair of Tourmaster Solutions which I love. Very comfy, waterproof and got me cross country last summer as my only footwear for 2 weeks.
The problem is they have thin soles and offer no lift which I now need for my new RT. I took them to a shoe repair shop, but they can't do anything with them because the soles are molded.
I have a pair of Harley boots with Vibram soles which get me a bit more lift, but are not waterproof and rain runs right down the tongue. They're also a bit heavy.
I've looked at the Redwings and a few others with thicker soles, but would appreciate and first-hand info on what has worked for you.

Thanks, and sorry if it's a worn-out topic!

For moderate weather riding I've just switched to cowboy boots with a 2 1/4" heel. Its amazing the difference having your heels touch down!

Yikes! those look great, but $450 is a bit of a budget buster. Remember, I just bought a BMW. Not like I have any extra cash laying around!!! ;-)
