Activate cruise control help

Have a new 2022 R1250RT .
Owners manual says I can deactivate the ACC and still have cruise control .
On page 78 it explains this , but it seems I can’t do this .
So what am I missing ???

with cruise switch on, hold down distance set button until it says "deactivated". Same way to turn it back on.

If you don't have the Distance Control (ACC) on left grip controls then you don't have ACC!

I have a call into dealer to ask this question.
I was thinking all new gen RTs have it.
Got the bike a couple of week ago . And not ridden it yet because winter is here in the northeast
If I don’t have ACC , I would be a very happy camper .

Dealer confirmed no ACC
It was made during chip shortage . Can be added at reduce cost.
