Hello all. I have searched the site looking for some information on getting the 2021 RT radio/sat installed. I picked up my RT in June of last year. At that time the dealer said the radios were on back order and would be installed when they were available. Has anyone on here had a radio installed? Taking a few long trips this year and would like to have it installed. Dealer does not seem to know? thanks in advance...

I have one on order. Ordered Feb 7. No definitive ETA yet. Dealer had said 6 to 8 weeks .....maybe.
Did you have the radio prep done?
If not, scuttle butt is retro fit is a no go or very very expensive

Many dealers have them in stock...typical order time is one to two weeks to dealer. Had one installed on new R1250RT. If you have audio prep in place the radio (amplifier) costs around $600 and many dealers discount that. It has to be programmed, BMW is picking up that cost. My experience is from upper Mid-West area.
