Installed new battery over the weekend and this connector was sitting next to the battery. It looks like a previous owner added it along with the hot wire tap (blue piece). Can anyone tell me what this connector is for?
Thanks!

If it was added by the previous owner, how would anyone here know what its for? :scratch I know, not helpful. :laugh

But a connector for a GPS is a good guess, I'd say.

Since it was added, hard to say what is was used for.
Looks like the OEM GPS plug with the cap in place.

Here's my K1300S showing the black factory connection for a GPS.

In this picture you can see the black cap for the GPS plug laying on top of the battery.
The white connector circled in red is plugged into the factory GPS plug.

That connector as previously noted is for the GPS and is commonly utilized for other accessory power or relay trigger since it powers off after a couple minutes like the accessory plug.

Thanks guys. I assume I can use it for accessories with the same connection plug or just tap the hot wire.

Yes you can. I think BMW calls the male end a Repair Cable and it's fairly cheap.

Looks like this
