you know years ago we road north to New England often..........
But then we discovered West Virginia & Western Virginia.
Less traffic, better road conditiions and less expensive.
But I still can't wait to go to the 2026 rally!

I might have just visited WV at the wrong time but every mountain mixed-grade road I've been on in WV has been a gravel mess. Gravel everywhere and always when you're deep in a turn. Kind of scary, very few guardrails up in the hills and absolutely no cell phone service off the interstates. I enjoyed it but I personally prefer Vermont's roads. By May, there's no more gravel and lots of good signage for rough roads.

I’ve got to tell you; they’re the best ones!
Something about the enjoyment of multi-day bike travel itself, then bam…
your surrounded by the familiarity of our
BMW community.
It’s also neat talking to others, sometimes days & states away, heading to the same place. A few years back, I rode into late afternoon, arriving at a desirable campground that just went “full-up”.
Told the gate entry kiosk riding buddies were already on site, but I didn’t know the site or name it was under.
He let me ride in.
Spotted a couple BMW’s on a site, stopped and asked if I could join them in the cost split… guy says “go get ice” and welcome! I had the info needed for the kiosk on my return; I still know the guys. Always loved the adventure & planning of getting to a distant national.

We had 12 members in attendance at today's open session in Burlington along with 8 board members, 1 MOAF board member, Corey & Becky Smith and Ted Moyer so 24 total members + Glenlivet the golden retriever.


It may have been more than 12 but that's all who signed the intake sheet at the door.

Had to dig deep to find this information that points to be Specifically Aimed at the Champlain Vally Fair-

If I remember correctly, this is the location that as a as bartender we needed to attend a short bartending class so we could be issued license to serve beer. also had armed officer behind the bar with us. no beer could enter beer garden other that was sold there, and no beer could leave garden

That’s actually a Vermont law. I volunteer to serve at many beer festivals in Vermont and every time, someone has to show me how to check IDs, serve, look for sign of overconsumption / overserving and when to cut someone off. Anyone in Vermont serving beer to the public must go through a server safety class.

all believing we were getting our first state issued "Bartenders License" !!! LOL.
"The Beer Must Flow" was his motto... and that it did!
The "Certificate of Achievement", still issued from Vermont's Division of Liquor Control, is a cherished document worthy of listing
as your "highest education level" obtained on employment applications. LMAO.
