The 2026 National Rally... Eastern US : Essex Junction VERMONT... June 11-13 2026

Adam; how many members in good standing attended the general Board Meeting… to validate our commitment to the Green Mountain State in 26’ ????

We had 12 members in attendance at today's open session in Burlington along with 8 board members, 1 MOAF board member, Corey & Becky Smith and Ted Moyer so 24 total members + Glenlivet the golden retriever.

It may have been more than 12 but that's all who signed the intake sheet at the door.

That’s very impressive with the weather there! Hopefully Glenlivet approved of the affairs… and the venue!
Thanks Adam.

The Champlain Valley Exposition Center in Essex Junction, Vermont has been selected as the site of the 2026 BMW MOA National Rally. The annual homecoming for the BMW Owners of America will take place June 11-13, 2026.

The Champlain Valley facility offers 130 acres of recreational space for MOA members along with hundreds of RV spaces, 50,000 square feet of meeting space and, most importantly, great roads and friendly people to welcome members to Vermont.

MOA Vice President Adam Chandler suggest Vermont could be the perfect summertime destination for BMW motorcycle owners. "With the Green Mountains as a backdrop, my home state of Vermont offers fantastic riding opportunities." Chandler also says Vermont is ready to welcome MOA members to the area and offered a few tips to make the visit memorable. "You can't come to Vermont without trying the Maple Creemees," says Chandler. "After a day of twisty roads, have two before bedtime!"

Registration for the 2026 event will begin in June at the 2025 National Rally in Lebanon, Tennessee. MOA members will find more information about the 2026 event in the BMW Owners News and online at RALLY.BMWMOA.ORG

June is a difficult month for my wife to take time to be away from her job but we're (I'm) making plans with my next door neighbor and riding buddy (another R 1250 RS). Depending on the chosen route it's between 3 and 4.5 hours from where we call home to Essex Junction VT. Scoping out/looking for close by hotels since my idea of camping is a Motel 6. So many opportunities....so little time.

That might be worth riding across the country for.

I miss riding in VT. Passing over the double yellow is legal unless there's one of those pennant shaped "No Passing" signs on the left side of the road.

No matter where we call home as motorcyclist, there’s going to be a lure somewhere on this continent, that beckons for the long ride.
Live West of the Continental Divide and enjoy travel…
Vermont will check the box.
Deep South resident looking for country road and Eastern mountain travel…
see Mt Mitchell, the Adirondack Range &
Mt Washington coming or going from VT. Sometimes, it really is the journey,
not the destination.
But certainly, VT, NH & MA fulfill the call to ride for most that are knowledge of good eating and enjoyable riding.

you know years ago we road north to New England often..........
But then we discovered West Virginia & Western Virginia.
Less traffic, better road conditiions and less expensive.
But I still can't wait to go to the 2026 rally!
Ben & Jerry's and Cabot cheese! Yummy.

I live 12 miles east of Redmond OR, I can see the airport from my house. I am ready to head for Vermont, hoping to swing by Walden pond too!:):camaybe I could travel through Canada.

Last time it was there I had a puncture and bought a tire at Frank's \.
I sure bought a pair from Franks garage last time there.
A ride from KY, out to Boise ID, then back east to VT, for the RA/MOA combo Nationals and the Peaks of America Tour…
had me wearing thin.

That depends on where you ride. Tourist towns like Stowe and Manchester are generally madhouses except in Stick or Mud Season. It’s nearly the same for VT-100. The lesser known highways are delightfully empty. I love riding in WV but find the scenery more open here in Vermont because of the many hillside farms. WV is more heavily forested

Several of us locals will be creating routes in a variety sure to please any style of riding.

I hope the MOA can land some lodging at that small college nearby like they did the last time. I think it’s Saint Michaels College, but I could be wrong. That was a great deal. Unfortunately the weather was unusually hot and the air conditioning only worked minimally. But I do it again in a heartbeat. .

Looking forward to the return to Vermont!!

Many many many long times ago I had a t-shirt that said "VERMONT ....... 335,000 COWS CAN'T BE WRONG" It was so long ago that today there are only about 105,000 cows in the state so today there''s more room for us. 😁

Burlington Vermont in 2007 was my first MOA Rally. It was a a great introduction to these Rallies! Ever thereafter I always volunteered, a number of times even as a Rally Committee Chair.

Hope that I will be able to attend in 2026. 🙂
