1983 R100RT Bean can timing

The TDC locator and degree wheel are a good way to go, but an earlier post involved counting flywheel teeth from the factory markings. Wouldn’t that method work as well?

to poor UB timing problem

That stop to stop also sounds like a good idea and if I ever have to do this again it sounds easier than what I did . Without going in to a lot of detail after I made my marks
on the tape on the degree wheel , the top shaft on the TDC indicator had a nice flat top so I got out my starrett last word dial indicator ( I am retired and have lots
of time ) and just for giggles checked my pencil marks and all was good . I like your idea better, faster and just as accurate .
