Hello. I have a 2017 R1200RT and I am heading to the rally. I like to cover the bike when outside overnight but I don’t want to bring a full cover to save packing space. I would like a small or half cover to just cover the handlebars, instruments and tank area. If any of you have a recommendation I would be very appreciative.

I believe that these covers come in half and full size. They are made from parachute material. Mine is a full length cover which covers my bikes with top box from ground to ground. Packed, it takes up very, very little space.

If you go with an E-Z Touring cover, watch their video how to fold the cover back up to fit into the carrying case. I'm usually pretty good with these things, but I struggled until I watched the video. The link to the video is below.

Guess I’ve been rolling up wrong all these years. Basically I do it the same way Thant I put my sleeping bag into its stuff sack. I just grab a middle section and simply stuff it into the bag that came with it. (I think my way is faster.)

I don't think there's a one right way to do it. As long as it fits in, then it's all good. I wish the stuffing it into the bag method worked for mine. I tried that and it didn't fit.

Back in the saddle again
After I got my first one I perfected how to fold it to get it back in the small pouch they supplied and continued that routine during the first year of use. After that I decided my time was more valuable then the space saved and now just shove it into what ever open space I need to fill! It ain't pretty but it is much faster.
