Tool for Changing Headlights on an RT - 2007 R1200RT

I found that changing the headlight bulbs is difficult, especially with my big hands. I discovered a helpful tool. It is made from the frame of a window screen. An aluminum window screen is basically a rectangle tube with a u-shaped groove for putting the rubber screen holder in. If you cut a length of the frame to about 6 to 10 inches, you will find that the prongs from the headlight bulb fit tightly into the rectangle tube. You can now use place the bulb into it's holder in the faring by holding onto the frame piece rather than trying to hold onto the bulb prongs. Once the bulb is in place, you can put the spring holders in and then pull the tube out. I carry one in my tool kit and it helped this summer while on a tour when one of my headlights went out. I'm sure there are different sized screen frames and hopefully you won't have to buy the whole frame to get a 10 inch piece, but if you can find an old frame, it works great.

I've got some clear plastic hose that is just the inside diameter of the measurement across both bulb terminals. Don't need it on left side but sure is handy on right side.
