Schuberth SC2 Remote Control

OldNuke

Just puttsin'
The user's and quick start guide instructions for turning on the SC2 remote and connecting it to the SC2 in the new C5 helmet are incomplete. The instructions tell you to tap the center button on the remote once to turn it on. After that, it's supposed to connect to the SC2. Well, it doesn't. Checking with Sena, the manufacture of the unit, brought no help, but a couple Youtube videos cleared up the issue. After turning on the remote, you tap the plus button 4 times and the remote connects. Works every time.

SC2 Battery life

I have read Schuberth says the battery will list around 18 hours. What has been your experience?

John

In use for about two months and the red led on the remote control still flashes four times when I turn it on.

I've replaced the battery 3 times in mine... though that's probably because I forget to turn the remote off. Current battery is dead and has been for a month. Haven't done any rides where I needed intercom so I haven't bothered changing the battery. Phone/audio streaming works just fine without it. Stupid thing should turn itself off when I turn off the main unit.
