Problems Updating BMW Repair Manual DVD

Dugh

New member
Hello All,

I have a BMW DVD Repair Manual for the F Models K7x. Problem is my model year is not shown in any of the menus. Every time I search for updates none are available. There has to be a way to update this thing. My dealership closed and BMW corporate is no help. Can any body offer advice on updating the Repair Manual DVD?

Thanks in advance for any help!

Dugh

Yes saved to computer. Whenever I "Check for Updates" the response is always " No Updates Available". The only models available on my computer are from 2006, my model is from 2015. Can't understand what I'm doing wrong. Very frustrating!!!

Dugh,

Is your DVD's part number 01 59 8 559 608? If so, the parts fiche on the Max BMW website says it covers K7x models up to August 2013. Newer bikes don't have a repair manual listed on the parts fiche.

I believe RealOEM shows DVD manuals available for the newer F-series bikes; those part numbers should be valid at any dealer:

F750GS

F700GS

As well as DVD manuals for the F650GS, F800R/S/GT and others.

Not sure why the OP’s DVD won’t update, unless it is very old and no longer updateable—as in the “update” is to buy a newer version. I’d also suggest the OP start the application using “run as administrator” in case there is an issue specific to the PC that may be interfering with the update process.
Good luck,
DeVern

Not sure that's true. Same MAX BMW web site shows the following part numbers for service manuals, all for 2015 F700 GS:

01958405653 - DVD Repair Manuals F Models K7x - covers K70: F 700 GS (0B01, 0B11): (2011-2016)

01958559609 - DVD Repair Manuals F Models K7x - covers K70: F 700 GS (0B01, 0B11): (2011-2016)

I don't have any idea if those two above are online updatable or not. That's a question for somebody else or maybe a online dealer.

The part number kthutchinson referenced says it Fits: F, F650GS, F800GS, F800R, F800S, F800ST

Dugh, what is the part number on your DVD, and what is the version code - (as in 0B01, 0B11, or something else)? That would be a good start.
