Repair Manual DVD Update Failure

While attempting to update my repair manual DVD (R Models K2x Street), I repeatedly get a "cannot connect to server" message. Has anyone else seen this problem? I know BMW no longer issues new repair manuals, but have they now stopped updating existing manuals?

Has this been a multi-day issue? Have you tried another computer? When was the last time you were able to update the DVD.

Have you tried another computer? No, I don't have a Windows PC. I'm running Windows 10 in a virtual machine on an Ubuntu laptop.

When was the last time you were able to update the DVD? I check for updates weekly and have had no problems connecting to the server until late last week.

I’m not familiar with that system. Being that you are, chances are you have selectively deleted past history and related and tried it?
If you know someone with a “standard” Windoze machine, it may be worth a try.
Beyond that, hopefully someone else will be able to provide their results when they try an update.

I own the Updateable repair DVDs (both for the 2020 R1250RT and also 2021 S1000RR) and have that same failure occurring. I have tried multiple computers (all Windows - two with Win10 and one with Win11).

I was primarily looking to see if the Cardan shaft inspection requirements have been formalized for the 2020 RT .

On the Windoze virtual machine, are you able to use Edge or Chrome or Firefox to connect to a common site like Google or DuckDuckGo? If so, your internet connection is OK and the BMW update server is the likely problem.
