Original paint in that color is wonderful, well done.

Looks like you added a solo seat, GS bars and a few other things.
Mind telling us the brand/model on the tires?

Cheers!

The paint is indeed original Havana Gold. It will take some effort to get it back to a reasonable state.

The tires are Heidenau K67. I saw that several scrambler builds used them.

Observant to the changes I've made. I'm attempting to build what might have been a variant in 76 for a scrambler bike if BMW would have built it. Nothing has been permanently modified on the bike so it could be put back to stock if desired. The high mounted tail light and turn signals are the original on a bracket I fashioned. The rear fender will be a modified BMW fender but not the one that was original to the bike. Interestingly it's also Havana Gold but in poor shape.

Good day everyone!

Long time rider, new to airheads. Hoping to learn and enjoy ownership of these amazing machines.

87 R80 RT with fairing removed by previous owner. Originally from Europe and imported to Canada.

Looking forward to day trips next spring.

Cheers!

Sean

Getting it in the basement.

Vintage show in Caldwell, ID this Sunday so I went over to storage and swapped the 390 for this RS. SO COLD riding home, wind and a little "snow" (graupel). Better by Sunday though, with excellent next week. Real riding season can't happen soon enough!

Hi all, new member here out of the foothills of Colorado. Here's a couple of my '92 R100R - I'm forward to contributing more pictures soon.

1971 R 50/5 that I adopted several months ago after it had sat with the transmission removed for quite a while. Thanks to the Airhead Community particularly the Wisconsin guys it lives and breaths again. The owner had taken very good care of the bike over the years but never got around to fixing a transmission issue, so he decided to move it along. It was in good preservation condition when I got it but the frame was scratched pretty bad so it got a nut and bolt inspection, engine reseal, transmission rebuild, replaced rubber parts and repainted the frame. The /6 mufflers are on there until the correct mufflers arrive, I just had to ride it.

Got out yesterday chasing a couple of Coddiwomple tags. Glad to have this back together after getting at the clutch splines. Too bad I forgot to adjust the rear brake lever when I had the back wheel off. Why do they make it so hard?
