Pivot bearing Nushings: 8 years on, do they work?

Hi.
I want to change my paralever bearings this summer as preventative maintenance and had my eyes on Nushings for a long time. Given that they seemed to be first introduced around 2016, I wanted to know if anybody here has long term (or long mileage) experience with them. Is it really a good substitute for the original bearings? As always, thanks for the help.

...if you're referring to the rear pivot bearings sorry, no. I've been using the Emerald Island pivot bearing set in the rear with no problem.
Are the Nushings simlar? can you grease them while installed?

Interesting, they are needle bearings set in some self lubricating material. Better than stock for sure.

I put a set in about 4 years ago in a K12LT, but I haven't put a lot of miles on them. So far, no complaints.

Im pretty sure they are made from a self lubricating material, like bronze. No grease fitting.

I heard some good things, The way they are made make sense to me, and the price is affordable.

Price is good, and I recall the OEM ones ran on needles. Easy to install.
I remember I did a stupid thing with mine, didn't put them in the freezer, just hammered them in with a block of wood...dumb.

I've been installing them since they came out. I think I had one customer tell me they didn't last.

I think a great design, because of the motion of the bearing which isn't a typical spinning motion. In the OEM bearing, they basically just rock back and forth, wearing out 5 or six needles and their opposing race surface, which is the only surface that is displacing the weight...not a good use of needle bearings. A friction bearing will have much more surface area to slide on, better for that application. Sorry, geeked a bit.

I installed these in my 2004 R1150RT after going through two sets of the original bearings. When I inspected them at 20,000 miles, they looked absolutely perfect. I think its a fine upgrade, AND they're greasable.

I have considered them for mine as well. Folks on ADVRider have tons of good things to say about them.
