Which is really too bad - because I’d much rather pay $219 for what is effectively the same part as what’s in my 2012 GS that BMW wants $1400 for. At 83,000 miles I’m feeling like it’s probably getting to be time to do a preventative replacement of the drive shaft. Probably going to go with the rebuildable and much more affordable Ted Porter option.This has nothing at all to do with Hexhead/Camhead FDs.
