New GSA to replace my 2021 RT?

I’ve been riding RT’s since 2010. Just got a new RT in 2021. Love everything about it, but am getting the itch for a GSA to replace it. Wondering if anyone out there has made this transition. I like the industrial rugged looks of the GS, and rode one in 2019 at the one day BMW Premier on/ off road Training class and really liked it. I like the wind protection of my RT when riding distances on highways, but the idea of a more rugged bike like the GS is really appealing. Have to admit I always worry about the damage I’d do to my RT if I dropped it or had a low speed get off.
Anyone made this life changing decision?

Advice from a life-long GS rider…. Do it! :thumb

(That said, there is a powerful argument to have both bikes….)

I had an 2017 RT but my prior bike was a 1150 GSA. I couldn’t get comfortable on the 2017 and switched to a 2018 GSA. That was 52k miles ago…. So yes go for it… :nod

I had an 08 GSA. Sold it for a new 16 RT. Never fell in love with that. Sold it in 2020. Just got a 17 GSA. Put a Xcreen spoiler on the windscreen, and Aeroflow winglets on the sides of the dash. It is smoother air than I had on the RT and it just feels more right. Lots of grins again.
