My 1974 R90/6 never-ending project, with plenty of pics.

Well, in case he's reading.. they're not that old. 
I am still in about-once-every-other-year contact with their son as he's friends with some of my friends.. and that's how I got them as lawncare customers in the first place. So at one point, I rode the R90 to a bonfire at their house. The dad came out, snapped a pic of the bike and spent the rest of the night inside. The mom just sat around the fire with the rest of us.
I guess they are content with knowing that at least someone is enjoying the bike. Last I knew, they still had their R1200RT(?) that they put a down-payment on with my payment for this bike.
So, long story short, and to answer your question.. Not that I know of.

If I ever decide to sell my bike, I should remember to offer it to you. At least you'd have to good sense to enjoy the darned thing!

Well, I talked to the former owner of my bikes today.. and he told me he thought the R90 had "like 108,000 miles" on it. Since I got it with "00466," and the odometer hasn't skipped a beat once in my 5,000 miles of riding it, I'll assume with a little more confidence that it in fact has 105,000 miles. 
Then, he let me know about a stash of pics of my bikes. So, enjoy a flashback to a time that if you remember, you must not have actually been there.
Check out the antenna (which I still have).. almost as tall as the Arch. EDIT: Oops, this is my R75.

If you did not have a fairing then it was not really a touring bike and you were not a serious motorcyclist. There was something wrong with people that traveled long distances without fiberglass and Plexiglas. Still, as ugly as they were, many of those did little for riding comfort and really ruined the bikes handling.

12,000 miles under my ownership. Rebuilt speedometer. Multiple water crossings. Ran like crap (advance rusted to camshaft):
Runs good now. Different seat (grab-rail added shortly thereafter):
Just needs a new set of headers.

My current ones aren't pretty. Rusted through, scuffed up, dented. I've got a guy via email with a set for $75, "not pristine - but no holes, rust or dents," so I might take him up on it.
