No R2E in October as we'll all be at the Barber Vintage M/C Festival and the very big Swap Meet in Leeds, AL.

Weather was pretty suspect today when we departed HSV southward along many assorted backroads. I ate at the Litlle Bridge Marina on Tuesday to verrify my chosen route and to sample their Que. Top-notch on both counts! :nod So the HSV contingent pretty much bailed on me due to weather concerns; not Todd though on his K16GT {his golfing buddies punted on him, so he found something else to use up a few hours}.Thus, Phil & Karen and Todd had an enjoyably comfortable ride south, and it finally started raining on us as we entered the town of Rainbow City. I hoped the scrambled array of clouds over Alabama would move on during lunch, but it lingered instead. Jim drove up from Pelham to gather with whoever showed up. Karen enjoyed her bbq'd turkey slices with collard greens and mac&cheese. I enjoyed a Loaded baked potato with pulled pork and Alabama white sauce. Todd & Jim both enjoyed a rib platter; Phil and Todd brought a half-slab (6) ribs home for dinner! :eat We rode home in persistent, but not bad, steady rain showers which is A-okay when you're dressed for sloppy conditions...
We'll be attending Barber's Vintage Motorsports Festival on the 2nd Saturday in October! Hence join us for Saturday lunch somewhere along the lengthy Fan Zone!
November's 2nd Saturday R2E will find us riding to Gallant, AL with grub at The Greasy Spoon Restaurant at the Greasy Cove General Store!

Perhaps you'll drop by... Ciao! HSV-Phil & HSV-Karen

BTW, the Little Bridge runs north toward RBC; That Big Bridge in the photo is the southbound traffic!

You mean Jim punted riding? Wow! I had a commitment @ Barber's today (leading a tour), or I would have been there!

See you @ the Vintage Festival. Maybe BMW will show the GSA (and possibly a new RT?)
