Here’s your invitation to all y’all LDR BMW riders to add a fine lunch goal to your April calendar. I’ve conferred with the staff at the “world famous” Bright Star Restaurant in Bessemer, AL (the oldest family owned restaurant in Alabama). Their boiled seafood platter is included in the "100 dishes to eat in Alabama" before you expire!

They look forward to hosting us again since our most recent visit in August of ’22.

Should U intend to Ride-2-Dine with the AlaBeemers, I need your RSVP by noon on the 11th.
I will then give the staff advanced warning of the number of riders to expect @ 11:30, 12Apr25.
There’s abundant parking for motorcycles just to the west of the front door {a bank’s empty lot}.

We hosted 35 folks in February at Bama Bucks; another 30 folks in March at Kat Daddy’s, but this restaurant is Not your run of the mill Alabama Road Food venue. I need a firm head count NLT noon on the 2nd Friday of April!

I can be reached @ mailto: president@bmwmoal.org
Happy Trails whenever U can!

Looks like all y’all stayed home, but the AlaBeemers had 15 members & associates attend a delicious luncheon in Bessemer, AL. If you’re in the area, like to visit the world’s best Vintage Motorsports Museum, do drop by cause it’s a terrific venue for good chow!

We had nine folks ride south from HSV, and we met up with Paul Thorne from eastern Mississippi {who we’ve been missin}! T’was chilly in the AM {
temps in lower 40s - PM temps later in the lower 60’s}. I kinda think all of the attendees enjoyed their individual selections. I chose a deluxe broiled Jumbo Shrimp dish (6) (Greek style) served up with seasoned butter, collard greens, baked sweet potato casserole, and a tasty side salad. Mrs-HSV had a Large portion of baked salmon, collard greens, side salad, and sliced beets (No doggy bags needed - All Gone). Anyway, all you guys missed a splendid morning’s opportunity to ride-2-eat lunch in the central region of Alabama.

We’re next going back to Cooter Brown’s Rib Shack in Jacksonville, AL in May. Their ribs are especially Awesome {from my personal experience}. Stop back in the Southeast Region for Future Notifications - jus sayin! You really should start making plans to RSVP and ride over...

Stay Blessed y’all in this Easter season, und Stay Vertical.

Ciao, HSV-Phil & HSV-Karen

As a newly added member to BMWMOAL and living just south of Bessemer I was really hoping to join y'all. Unfortunately, my bike it in the shop getting a crankshaft seal replaced. I didn't want to make a first impression showing up in my Subaru. :( Maybe next time I can make it and meet everyone.

We missed U, Satchell, for your introduction into the ALaBeemers lunch bunch. Sorry to hear U chose not to drive since U were oh so close... We’ve all had M/C issues on previous occasions, so you’d have been forgiven. Hope your rear-main seal replacement allows U another 100-grand on the BMW Odo...
We’re leaving tomorrow on the Alabama Ramble, a springtime overnight ride through some\many southern counties with a lunch stop at Local Joe’s in Rainbow City tomorrow @1100. We’ll be at the Tuskegee Air Museum ~11ish on Thursday, then lunching at Kowaliga on Lake Martin ~13ish.....
Safe Travels upon any particular mode of transportation!

Thank you Phil. That sounds really cool. I hope you all have a great time. This beautiful weather is making it really hard to just sit around the house and read bike magazines. I hope they get done soon.
