Knocking in transmission of clutch

I had to chime in. Prior to my recent clutch change I had the same noise with my 1995 R1100RSL m94 trans etc. and since the new clutch.....it still has the noise! I have a m97 trans waiting to be installed if and when my bike will need it but I will continue to ride it until then. My local BMW repair shop that does maintenance on the local Police fleet BMW motorcycles told me not to worry about it as he's heard it many times. My thoughts....many people do and hear many things especially what they read on forums which causes you to get frustrated at times...having said that, my late father always said "if it's not broken, don't fix it"! He was an aircraft mechanic in the Navy for 37 years and an air-cooled VW guy for years, he even built three VW powered home built planes! Maintenance and monitor.....live with it! My 2cents.:)
