Hello James here. Just acquired a lovely 2016 GTL Exclusive, low miles, perfect shape, Great bike, actually number forty that i have owned. I live in Roundrock Tx and enjoy riding this bike or my Hayabusa with a performance motor build, or my pristine 2000 Honda Valkyrie tour model. Great to be a BMW owner, yes indeed.

if you are referring to my 218 rwhp Busa, yes, to a degree. It is really more about the build process and gorgeous results. no fat tires though, lol.
i must admit, my recently acquired gtl exclusive is very responsive, love that six!

Welcome Jim in Round Rock from the Tenn River valley of N.AL!

Hope you’ll find the time to take your long-distance 6-banger out for some sightseeing. I pull the Time-out Camper with my 10-yr old K-GT when we show up at the International BMW MOA rallies here & there. The next one in Lebanon, Tenn will be a mere 125 miles from door to door. Come check it out - the one there in 2019 was very memorable because the weather was “Perfect” - which is not always the case...

And maybe you’ll participate in the annual mileage challenge {because you’re never sure where your bike(s) might take you]. Since we met years ago, Mrs-HSV has exceeded 200K miles and she’s won two sets of Michelin tires for her efforts. It’s a bit harder for the many men who track their mileage & compete.

Welcome James! Sounds like you made an excellent acquisition. Hopefully, you will allow us to share in its awesomeness with a picture or two.

Welcome from Newfoundland.

My friend up the road has a few Hayabusa's. One is a drag bike that was the fastest Pro Street bike in Canada and his "street" bike has over 400 HP! He builds his own turbo units. He doesn't own any Beemers.:ha

Hi Phil. I am planning on Lebanon MOA. I would ride all the way from SE Michigan. Looking forward to meet-n-greet. As you know (or maybe not) I used to live in HSV, AL but career moved me up-north.

The RTs are gone. I am on K1600GTL/12 and although I love it; I am not mechanical savvy and so the maintenance cost of this beast is quite shocking. Very likely I would go back to RT variant in the 10y future from today.
