Heated grips stopped working

I've got an 02 R1150RT with factory installed heated grips. On the way to the RA Rally we hit some cooler temps near the lake so I turned on the grips, nothing. Checked the fuse & it was blown. Tried another fuse & it blew too. Is there any common problems I can check 1st before I start tracking the wiring around on the bike?

I am probably not the best guy to give advice on this matter, but it sounds like a short. Good luck!

There is a short circuit somehwere. The most likely areas are along the handlebars where the wiring is bound (sometimes TOO tightly) with zip ties AND there is some motion.
