I am removing the heads from my '75 R90S for rebuilding. I do not plan to remove the jugs.
Because this will relieve the tension on the cylinder mounting bolts (rods), will I need to re-seal the cylinder base, re-seat pushrod oil seals, etc
Not an answer to your question, but considering the low cost involved I would pull the cylinders and replace the push rod seals and metal base gaskets.
For me, the driver would be to inspect the cam followers and have a look at the cam lobes, measure pistons, ring gaps and cylinder bores.
