Clearwater Billie Jr.

To get to decent riding I have to first travel the local freeways, which are often crowded. I can't help but think that the blinking of the Billie grabs the attention of drivers behind me who might otherwise "just not see" me.

The deal with the wiring is that a single cable/wire must be run from the Billie up into the area under the passenger seat which will probably require drilling a 3/16" hole in black plastic near the factory tail light (easy). Then, following Clearwater's directions, you plug in their canbus adapter (also easy).

What's somewhat trickier is running wiring up to a set of Darlas (or other), but this is easy enough if you're patient.

In my case, I installed the Billie+Darlas on my '14 GS, and then uninstalled it, and then installed it again on my '16 R. In both cases I did it myself and managed not to break anything, and wound up with much improved conspicuity.

My buddy has the Billie on his 2014. It does a great job of warning cagers on braking and engine based decel. I've always had the Hyperlites LEDs on the rear of my bikes for extra insurance. The Billie (and these type of smart lights) take it to the next level.

Install seems very straight forward.

I will be purchasing my Billie in the next few weeks. Very important safety factor for me. :thumb

install is very straightforward assuming you have the Can Opener (also from Clearwater.)
I believe it only works with the Can Opener.

I have the standard Billie and LOVE it.

Thanks

I own a 2016RT and ride to work in rush hour traffic. I figured this might alert the brain dead m*******s that keep trying to creep up my tail. A NRA and Glock sticker on the rear of my saddlebags don't hurt either.

I have it on my GSA. It works well. It was installed along with Clearwater Darlas and the CanOpener. I program the Billie Jr. using the "wonder wheel" on my handlebars.

I installed Billie Jr, Ericas, and Darlas on my 2016 RT about a month ago. The install took quite a few hours because I'm really particular about everything, but it all works great.

I actually positioned the Billie Jr so its on the top of my license plate instead of the bottom. It was easier to install there, and I think it looks better.
