Wiring harness for topcase question.

Hello,
I recently purchased a 2017 RT and it came with a BMW top case. Unfortunately, the previous owner did not get the wiring harness for the interior light or additional brake lights. Is it possible to just purchase the wiring harness or is it only when you have the top case that comes with it? My bike does have the alarm and connection under the rear seat.

I looked at the Max fiche and to be honest I can't make heads or tails out of it. Anyone else have or had this question before?

Thanks for checking.
Dave

I can't find anything on RealOEM other than it being part of the "touring case" rather than the other, slightly smaller top case. I think the wiring is there on the bike already, as there are only two versions of the main harness - with or without ESA, and none of the accessory harnesses mention the box - unless it's part of the "central locking system" harness (and feature). Was the bike spec'd with Central Locking? (VIN search will provide a list of the installed features.)

Yes it does have central locking. And ESA. I know you can buy a top case with it prewired (interior light) but this top case does not have that. Thank you for looking.

In that "case", there are 2 part numbers for the lower half of the case... One with and one without the wiring built in... But no part numbers for "adding the wiring" for central locking/lighting to the case.

Why not create your own? The lighting would only need three wires (tail, brake, ground; dunno about the central locking) or have the teenage computer whiz next door do it... 🤓🖥️
Have a look at the LED marker lights from your FLAPS, such as https://www.oreillyauto.com/search?q=mcl61rk
and you could probably delete the back-side mounting plastic.
