Touratech Bar Back Riser 2023 R1250 GS Install Headache

I have the Touratech 25mm straight up bar risers and no issues with left or right cabling on full lock either way. Thought I would give the Bar Back, 35mm up and 20mm back, risers a try.

Installed after taking off the 3 rubber straps on each side, around clutch and brake lines, before clipping any zip ties, to see status of cabling. On full lock, either way, the right hand brake line and electric have no binding issues. But on right lock the clutch cable binds against the upper fork bridge so that it is not safe to go to full lock. In the photos I attach Touratech does mention cutting the zips ties and “pushing” (I think they mean pulling) the cables up. On the right, brake side, the zip tie is away from the fairing so that you could cut it easily if necessary. But on the left, clutch side, the zip tie is tucked back in a bit and hard to get to. Plus it is threaded through a prong to keep it in place. Probably could cut it, but reinstalling a zip tie would be difficult. And when I look through the left side plastic there are other zip ties around the clutch and electric lines.

Has anyone installed this particular bar back riser and found that if you do cut the zip tie at top, just inside front of fairing, there is enough clutch cable to be pulled up, even though it is zip tied down inside the fairing? Or do you need to remove fairing plastics on the left side to access the cable zip ties for the cable adjustment.

On my 17.5 I routed them outside the legs. It only takes a few mins to do. Mine was tight but not binding. I did not like that and routed them outside of the fork tubes.

Thanks for info. I exchanged email with Touratech also and they stated they could instruct me on how to do that if needed.
