BMW challenge coins?

Perhaps BMW does offer them but they require you work for them...could this be one:

I cleaned out the office at work on 30 June. The 10, 20, 25 and 30-yr service and other plaques were wrapped in thin foam wrap and placed on the back of a storage cabinet shelf in the Man Cave. The 35-yr service award was a printed sheet of paper in a frame from the Dollar General store. I left that trophy for the next occupant of the office. Tokens, like the coins, were passed out to whoever liked them. The best stuff was the failures that told a story.

Yep, I'm not one to get excited about these things. Got the memory, move on.

I have quite a few from Army/Reserve/NG service, they are collecting dust on my dresser. I have been presented with a few in work for Defense Dept. programs I have worked on. It's a Military thing, mostly Army.

Anyone know if challenge coins have ever been available from BMW or possibly a vendor that's made them in the past or presently making them? I've collected dozens of challenge coins and wondered if any were ever made available anywhere for purchase

thanks

The original question was concerning whether a challenge coin has ever been available from BMW. My photos are evidence to answer that question in the affirmative. Does it have anything to do with the MOA, no,but then again, not everything in this forum is specifically targeted to the MOA. But in answering the OP, whether it does or does not is immaterial. I would suggest for any folks involved with obtaining a challenge coin, the significance of the coin is up to the unique experience from the event, so no significance to others may be understood. And then again, even to some of the folks in attendance of a particular event the challenge coin may not bare any significance, so its up to the individual. The instructors at the training center certainly made me feel like a member of their family while working with them and of all things BMW, the culture fostered by most in the group, whether BMW or BMW-MOA make motorcycling not just a sport or something to do with my spare time, but a life outlook to aspire to and promote. I certainly appreciated the coin to add to my collection of memories. But just to tie the two organizations together, I did get my first introduction to the BMW training classes at a BMW-MOA National rally, so would certainly consider there to be some sort of synergy being on display between the two groups.

We use them in the Dallas Ft Worth BMW Riders Club - BMWDFW.

This is the latest version. I liked the old ones better.... it had the shape of Texas on it.
If I can find my old one I'll pop it up here.

Challenge coins

If you were in the U.S. military during the last, say, 30 years, you would understand. They're nice souvenirs from previous ops, units, etc. you've been in. SkipperMike

Welcome to the forum Mike!
Good to see the "wet blanket" patrol hasn't covered you up :whistle
Enjoy.

I remember as a young scout in the BSA I saw a few wooden "Round Tuit" coins that were given out occasionally. You'd give them to a person that would often say "I'll get around to it sometime......". Probably off topic but this thread made me remember these coins.
