Barkbusters on the F 850 GS with TFT Dash

Hello...I've been warned that I cannot upgrade my stock plastic handguards to Barkbusters or anything similar because of clearance issues with the TFT dash. This is a pretty big concern..as the stock plastic pieces are useless in a tip over.

Has anyone else found this to be accurate or found something that works?
