alternative TORQUE ADAPTOR for DRIVE SHAFT -to- FINAL DRIVE bolts

Elastic

Yes, agree these four bolts should not be over torqued and only used once. Same thing in old ford aluminum head bolts.

I don't mean to demean the need for proper torque. In the case of these bolts in my experience, I couldn't in many cases over torque them. I just could not get the leverage or hold the driveshaft from turning to do so. I was relieved when I found the highest I could get them with my tools matched the correct rating.

I imagine, there is someone out there who has a way to over tighten them, LOL, it would be a show for sure. I have been afraid of the opposite. I don't like things coming apart when they aren't supposed to.

So the gremlins stayed off the bike and I never had a problem. Now I have the adaptor and be sure I have them right and not loose. St.

My Snap-On torque wrench and S-K adapter. Tap, tap, tap, tonk. Always has worked for me.
