2020 r1250gsa TPS replacement

Old Rider - OK Mechanic
Anyone find a replacement for the bmw original TPS. I'm not sure if the post from the 1200GS will fit into the 1250 stem will fit in the TPS of a 1250 GSA. They are easy to find.

Found it

Found the replacement and part no for the TPMS on the R1250 GSA. It is a Schrader Performance Motorcycle TPMS part no 3141M (BMWs). It does not come with the stem, seal, or nut. These are available from BMW, part no 36 31 8 388 689, $67.22 CAD. However both the CAD and US parts fiche list the old spoked rim sensor with the attached stem as a retro-fit for the Schrader TPMS. These are part no 8532731, available on Amazon for about $20.00 complete with valve stem and seal. I have contacted Schrader NA and asked about availability and cost for the original sensor, waiting for a reply. We site is schraderNA@sensata.com. I will post their reply.

If you are no hung up on the angles valve stem switch to the old style. I suspect they will be much cheaper then the Schrader sensor. I cannot find a cheaper substitute.

schrader 3141 replacement

thanks for the reply, but I don't understand. I have GS911 and a 433Mhz exciter, so I can read the TPMS and get the ID number or have it auto populate the data field on the bike. is that what you mean by unprogrammed. And what is a 33900 and where can I get it.

Thank Yuou Anton

Thank you Anton, Found the correct Schrader parts on All Tire Supply in the USA..awesome The sensor is $29.00, and the angled valve kit is $8.95

Related question: Would any automotive sensor running at 433 work with the monitor on a GSA? I’m looking at switching to a car rim and tire on my sidecar rig but don’t want to give up the TPMS functionality

BIke to car

I think if they are the same frequency and you can mount them they will work.

Note So Fast

I ordered 2 tpms 33900 yesterday. Thanks to all for your help.

I received the Schrader TPMS yesterday and went to check if I could have the bike learn them with the GS911. Nope....did work. Apparently I must enter the year, model, make of motorcycle on the TPMS using one of a large number of tools, with a range of about $200 - $600. Not going to happen, I will use the straight stem TPMS that were used in the recent 1200 GSA's. However I will order a couple of the angled valve stem kits, available at O'Reilly's in the USA part no 25078 for one and 25078-4 for 4. They cost less than $10.00 each. The reason for this is that the seals will often fail before the battery does, and that will leave you dead in the water on the side of the road if you do not have another seal. So i will carry one or two on my bike at all time. You can probably guess why I know this....
