1984 r80 RT Front Fork Lowering

Hello All,

Newbie to all things motorcycles here. Getting a 1984 R80 RT. I'm looking at changing the stock fork, as i want it lowered by about 5 cm. is there a way i can do that without having to purchase brand new forks or do any cutting?

Welcome to the forum! And to BMW! Lowering doesn't come up too often, but generally most are talking about lowering the whole bike. Here's a thread from a number of years ago for consideration/ideas:

What is driving the desire to lower only the front end?
