1300 gs panniers

It is my understanding that the repair kits were being sent out, but then the dealers received a notice to "not sell"
or "Not install." I received this information from my dealer about a week ago. I have been waiting for the panniers for my 1300 which I bought at the first of May. Mean while the ridding season is almost half over and NO panniers. This does not speak well for BMW.

I got my R 1300 GS in April 2024 and while I also ordered the side cases, they would not sell them to me and just informed me on the day I was picking up the bike. Since then, I've had a bike I cannot use for long distance trips with friends even if the dealer gave me a waterproof bag that I can secure with a net and hooks.
On Tuesday July 23rd, I talked with the US BMW Motorrad Corporate Office about the situation of the Vario cases recalls. The lady informed me that as of July 22nd, the Top Vario case is cleared from the recalls and that dealers will soon start selling these again. My dealer apparently doesn't know about it yet. As long as the side cases are concerned, even the corporate office doesn't have any information and cannot say when they will be able to sell these again. This is clearly a lack of communication because somebody must know what is going on, what is the plan to fix this. BMW, JUST KEEP YOUR LOYAL CUSTOMER INFORMED.!! That will go a long way. Even if the fix is still months away, just say it, instead of leaving your customers in the dark!

Btw, the BMW lady told me there is a recent recall on the starter relay that need to be replaced!
