Breather Hose Installation 2009 R1200RT

I am re-installing the fuel tank and am not sure if the end of the breather hose is attached to something or if it just hangs down? One end is attached to the tank, the other end looks like it was attached to something, but maybe not. Can anyone help me out?
Thanks
Mark

The hose end that I usually have to search (1) for goes to the to the charcoal canister, in front of the tank on the right side.

The hose is in two parts (15, 17) with an inline connector (16) about half way.

There is another vent hose that connects at the fuel pump (19). I think the other end hangs free, but I don't recall ever looking for that end.

The throttle cable in that same area tends to snag when re-installing the tank and cause a very fast idle - verify that you have a little cable play at the throttle bodies before putting the body work back on.
