Help with steering damper parts

Hi folks, I've tried to get this on marketplace but it will not me password.I need two detents and two springs for the steering damper on my 1976 R60/6. Found them at Max BMW for $7.50 plus over $50.00 for mailing. Net weight .5 grams. Fingers crossed

Something seems a bit fishy on the shipping costs...unless you're trying to get something hazardous...I'd check with other suppliers or call Rusty directly at Max BMW. You could also check for some used parts by going through the used parts section found in the link in my signature line.

As an aside, the steering damper is really only something that helps when riding slowly over rough surfaces, riding with a sidecar, or in a track racing situation. If there's a stability problem with the steering, rather than cranking on the damper, the root of the problem should be found and fixed.

Good luck!
