Radio speaker replacement

I bought some small JBL units from Crutchfield. Any 4" speaker will work, but the trick is to get some foam baffles to cram behind them during installation. It'll push more sound out the front.

After you blow 2 boston acustic sperakers and 2 alpine's,you
wind up going to radio shack and buying 2 of there 4" units
at a lot less money and still enjoy the radio.

Thanks for the recommendations. Appreciate the help. Got some weather resistant ones from marine supply house and will try them.

I was able to fit 5" in place of the stock 4". I put a screw in one of the corner holes and two others simply clamped on the outside of the frame with washers under the screw heads. I also installed foam liners from crutchfield behind the waterproof marine speakers. Really good sound. Not great, but much better than the originals.

:clap
