Salem, OR info/help needed

My 21 yo daughter is starting Willamette Law School this fall. I would like to connect with an MOA member who lives in the area and could advise us of where to look and where not to look for accommodation. We are looking for a small condo or similar to buy and don't want to start looking in the "wrong" areas of Salem.

We will be in Salem to look the first week or so of July.

Thanks. I do know that and I do intend to blindly call a few but thought it more polite to ask here first where anyone can answer at their convenience.
