Does anyone know if you can still get the clutch switch? The one that mounts on the L clutch handle. I need it and the wire if anyone knows a source, Mine is rather corroded after 32 years of riding and while replacing wiring would like to replace it also. Part # if known. Thanks!

They should be available. In order to help with the part number, we'll need to know year and model...

You can check OEM parts availability for your motorcycle yourself. Go to one of the BMW dealer websites such as A&S BMW Motorcycles or Max BMW Motorcycles that have an illustrated parts catalog online.

Pull the switch off, take a good look at it and go to Radioshack. You can likely find one that you can solder in place. If I remember this correctly, the one at RS will have three blades instead of two and you have to experiment ot figure out which two to use. The switch runs anout $3 so it's worth a shot.

If the part number turns out to be 61 31 1 243 403, then I have one brand new in original package am willing to sell.

Ride Safely,
